Coldplay

Learn Coldplay Guitar Songs

You cannot claim to be an alternative rock, pop-rock, or Britpop expert and not be in love with Coldplay. This band transcends generations with hits such as Yellow (2000), Fix You (2005), and a Sky Full of Stars, thanks to Chris Martin’s songwriting, singing, and guitar skills. He’s known for rapid switching; he goes back from and forth between chest voice and falsetto, and in the song Yellow, you can hear him yodel.

Coldplay formed back in 1996 with members Guy Berryman, Will Champion, and guitarist Jonny Buckland, known for his chiming and ringing guitar style. Their songs and blue romantic and meditative with swishing percussion and distorted guitar riffs. Some of the band’s best albums include Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, X & Y, and Parachutes. There haven’t been any changes in the lineup since formation.
