Lots of people read last months post on the most popular guitar lessons of June, I guess this sort of reinforces the social aspect of learning to play guitar.

Because of it's popularity, I decided to create a similar post every month, to let all of you know what others are watching and learning, so I will write a post on the most popular guitar lessons you guys viewed each month.

Unlike last month, this month you guys viewed a lot of the older lessons we have on the website. Here are the five most popular lessons of July, 2012:

  1. Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple
  2. Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash
  3. Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5
  4. Spanish guitar lesson
  5. Twist and Shout by the Beatles

Smoke on the water was a new song this month, but Ring of fire is actually a very old lesson. It's interesting to see, that Johnny Cash songs still have so much, well, fire 🙂 I am a big fan of Johnny Cash, my favorite song is still Hurt, but Ring of Fire is a great one as well.

I'd love to hear some feedback on Moves Like Jagger from you guys, that lesson is a bit different from the rest, as it concentrates mainly on learning the strumming style used in funk guitar, as the song itself is just 2 chords.

The Spanish guitar lesson is of course a classic favorite of a lot of people, I'm thinking about creating more lessons in the Spanish classical style. I am by no means an expert in Spanish guitar, but I really like it as well, and would love diving deeper into it and sharing what I learn.

So that's pretty much it for this week, practice a lot, and I look forward to this post next month as well.
