I’m happy to inform all of our basic members, that for the first time in the history of TheGuitarLesson.com, we’re going to have a free for all weekend this weekend. What does this mean exactly? You’ll have full access to all of our premium video lessons on popular songs, instead of just the basic guitar lessons available to basic members. Are we cool or what? ;-)

Free Access to Guitar Song Lessons

So don’t make any plans for the weekend (December 5-6), since you’ll have access to our collection of lessons on popular, yet easy guitar songs. I don’t think we’re going to be doing these freebie weekends too often, probably once-twice per year, so if you’ve been thinking about learning to play songs on your guitar, this is your chance. As you know, learning guitar techniques in their pure form can get a bit boring after a while. That is why our video tutorials concentrate on learning songs, since it gives you a chance to practice every guitar technique imaginable, and make great music at the same time.

You’ll have the chance to learn many-many guitar songs this weekend, for example, here is a list of the 5 most popular tutorials:

  • Nothing Else Matter video guitar lesson – This is the most popular Metallica guitar lesson on our site. Learning it will really develop your fingerpicking technique, as well as your knowledge of guitar chords and playing fingerstyle solos.
  • Stand by Me guitar lesson – This classic is on of my favorites as well. It involves playing a given chord progression using barre chords, and will therefore really develop your bar chord fretting skills. If you’ve been having difficulties with barre chords, this will be a great lesson for you.
  • Hotel California guitar lesson – This classic Eagles song is an all time favorite of basically everybody around the globe. It’s not difficult, but you will need a capo to play it in the correct key. You’ll learn a bunch of chords and arpeggios in this lesson, and make great music at the same time… a pretty good combination!
  • Slash’s guitar version of The Godfather Theme – If you are into the electric guitar and want to develop your soloing skills, you’ll definitely want to have a look at this lesson. You’ll be using huge slides, bends and vibratos, so it’s great exercise for any electric guitarist.
  • More Than Words guitar lesson – This song will give your hands a real workout. If you are just starting out, it will probably be a bit too difficult, but if you’re at an intermediate level and like fingerstyle acoustic guitar songs, make sure you check out this song as well.

Ok, thats all for now, gotta call our programmer and tell him to get things ready for the weekend, I know he loves it when I give him short deadline tasks :-)

Again, make sure you have your computer and guitar handy this weekend, as you’ll have a chance to watch ALL of our video guitar lessons absolutely free, compliments of me, myself and I.

Best,

Tom Fontana
